Hand Made Baskets

The beautiful baskets (left) are hand woven using pine needles found on the forest floor. Each basket is unique, and each an individual work of art.

They are made by the women of a small mountain village on the Nicaragua / Honduras border, Central America.

We also have a huge selection of colorful Santa Barbara handwoven baskets (above, right) from the mountain village of La Arada, Honduras.

The women of the village have formed a co-op called Promocion Arada. They take great pride in their weaving skills. Their efforts are to bring income directly into their poor farming village.
